Ailments first appear in the energy field before they appear in the visible physical body. By keeping the energy field (aura and chakras) consistently clean and balanced, it is much less likely that any physical ailment will manifest. Preventative healing can also slow or stop the degradation of the body from some ailments. That is why it is essential for those with serious ailments to follow these suggestions, though Pranic Healing should also be used to treat those ailments directly. In preventative healing, there are nine factors to be considered.

  1. PROPER DIET

    Proper diet means that the food must be physically and etherically clean and nutritious.

    • Avoid pork, catfish, and eel (quite sticky and the dirtiest food energetically)
    • Avoid red meat (very dirty, greyish energy)
    • Minimize or avoid white meat (dirty, greyish energy)
    • Minimize fish (cleaner than meat, but still slightly dirty)
    • The best diet is a nutritious vegetarian diet. The energy of fruits and vegetables is quite clean and luminous. They also contain a lot of pranic energy or life force which is much needed by the patient's body.
    • Clean air and clean water are also essential.
    • Extremist attitude or fanatacism is to be avoided. Although vegetarianism is recommended, under certain conditions, like in social gatherings, one can eat fish and meat to a limited degree.

  2. PROPER BREATHING

    Correct way: Abdominal Breathing. The diaphragm must move up and down to draw in and expel air; the lungs do not have their own muscles. With abdominal breathing, the abdomen is pushed out slightly during inhalation and pulled in slightly during inhalation. This allows the body to expel more dirty air and energy and inhale more fresh air and energy. This is how infants naturally breath.

    Incorrect way: chest breating. With chest breathing, the abdomen is pulled in during inhalation, causing the diaphragm to be pushed up resulting less air being drawn in. Exhalation is the oposite. Little air and energy are moved, and prolonged chest breathing can result in chest and heart congestion.

  3. SUFFICIENT PROPER EXERCISE

    Exercising has a cleansing effect - physically and etherically. The chakras are exercised as well as the physical body, which causes the expelling of used-up or diseased energy and drawing in fresh prana. Tai Chi, chi kung exercises, hatha yoga, dancing, martial arts, sports, jogging, hiking or brisk walking, if done regularly for at least 15-30 minutes, have very good effects on the body. Exercise should preferably balance work on the left and right parts of the body.

    If the government pervasively encourages the people to do regular physical exercises the health of the people will greatly improve which will result in a big reduction of its huge national health bill. Also elderly citizens will be more productive and will live fuller lives.

  4. PROPER ETHERIC HYGEINE

    It is important to keep the energy body etherically clean. We take a physical shower every day; it is even more important to clean the energy body daily.

    • Avoid smoking (blocks up the energy channels and chakras with dirty brown energy)
    • Avoid habitual drinking of liquor
    • Avoid recreational drugs and drug abuse
    • Avoid or clean etherically dirty places, rooms, or objects
    • Salt baths (2-3 pounds of salt in a normal sized bath.... or go to the beach)
    • Cutting etheric cords (daily practice will release drains on your energy)
    • Self general sweeping (to remove dirty energies and psychic intrusions)

    Living or working in an etherically dirty room, or wearing or being near dirty objects, is like rolling in mud. If someone takes a shower and then rolls in the mud, they are still dirty. It is important to clean your environment so that your body stays clean. This can be done by

    • Using water and salt
    • Exposure to sunlight,
    • Burning incense
    • Playing cleansing sound
    • Praying
    • General Pranic Healing sweeping

  5. PROPER EMOTIONS AND THOUGHTS (EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL HYGEINE)

    Internal emotional and mental hygeine: Positive emotions and thoughts like hapiness, kindness, joy, enthusiasm and others tend to have beneficial effects psychologically, etherically and physically. In many cases, negative emotion is one of the critical factors in severe ailments. They tend to dirty the solar plexus chakra and other chakras, and therefore degrade the physical organs. Suppressing, harboring, or explosively expressing negative feelings for a prolonged period may manifest as meny types of ailments. The rate of healing would be faster if the patient makes a conscious and persistent effort at regulating and improving his or her emotions. The cooperation of the patient is very important.

    External emotional and mental hygeine: Negative thoughts and emotions are infectious, so be choose the company you keep. The people you interact with can uplift you or depress you. Be selective the people you interact with, especially sexually because one can get more quickly contaminated by such intimate interaction. Food should preferably be handled by healthy, happy people since both good and bad energy can be transferred to food. Interacting with people who are optimistic, enthusiastic, radiant and very healthy is very psychologically and etherically beneficial, expecially being in the presence of an advanced spiritual teacher, because the students are bathing in the powerful aura of the teacher.

    Forgiveness and Loving-Kindness: Some severe ailments are emotional in origin, and the rate of healing would be much faster if the patient conciously exerts an effort to forgive those who may have actually or imaginarily hurt him or her. Recalling the event or person will recongest the solar plexus and other chakras and organs. THE ACT OF FORGIVING IS THERAPEUTIC AND IS NECESSARY FOR GOOD HEALTH.

    Being habitually critical, iritable or angry is also very unhygenic and bad for the health in the long run. It is easier to be kind, tolerant, and detached than to try to change and improve everybody.

  6. PROPER HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS

    Cruelty to fellow beings and to animals is one of the major causes of severe painful ailments (both physical and emotional). What you sow is what you reap. This is the law. Negative karma can be neutralized by:

    1. Learning the lesson that needs to be learned
    2. Using the Law of Forgiveness: It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
    3. Using the Law of Mercy: By showing mercy (being kind, helpful, charitable, and gentle) to others, mercy will be shown to us.

  7. PROPER LIVELIHOOD

    • Avoid excessive stress and tension
    • Avoid co-workers who are overly stressed. They consciously or subconsciously transfer the bulk of their stress energy by being nasty or rude to others. It is very impolite or improper to dump "psychic feces" on others.
    • Properly dispose of stress energy through meditation, self-pranic healing, or pranic treatment. Techniques for self-pranic healing are self sweeping on the solar plexus, deep pranic breathing for twelve cycles or more, and Meditation on Twin Hearts.
    • Meditation can help a lot, but there is a certain degree of limitation to what meditation can do. In certain cases, it is wiser to look for another job or livelihood that is less demanding and has a saner work environment.

  8. PROPER LIFESTYLE

    • Avoid smoking
    • Avoid alcoholism
    • Avoid drug abuse
    • Avoid excessive work - hard work or industriousness is indeed a virtue, but working for 14-16 hours a day for several months or years is definitely excessive and definitely bad for the health and bad for family life.
    • Avoid excessive fun - to have fun is great, but too much fun or night life for a prolonged period is quite exhausting and will definitely have adverse effects on the health.

  9. PROPER PRANIC TREATMENT

    As a person grows older, the chakras gradually atrophy and become depleted. These correspondingly cause the physical body and it's organs to gradually deteriorate. To improve one's health, to reduce tension, and to slow down the rate of aging, it is advisable to undergo regular preventative pranic treatment.
